BTQ Financial is a outsourcing provider that specializes in providing comprehensive financial outsourcing services to not-for-profit organizations. The company has been providing consulting and outsourcing services for five years in response to the overwhelming need for high-quality, affordable financial management services for our not-for-profit clients. Over this time, BTQ has developed a range of service options for organizations that are seeking to streamline and strengthen their fiscal services. These services include all aspects of bookkeeping, financial reporting, budget planning, contract management, cash flow management, and strategic planning.

Today, a 65-person staff is serving 22 clients that range in revenuefrom $500,000 to $50 million. The client agencies have combined revenues of over $220 million and represent a wide variety of not-for-profits including community health centers, human service organizations, cultural institutions, funder agencies, and social entrepreneurial ventures.

In order to provide high-quality financial-outsourcing services while preserving and respecting the autonomy, security and culture of our clients and their customers, BTQ works closely with each client to design a customized service package that addresses their unique needs.

Our History

 

BTQ Financial was founded by David Terrio and Kevin Quist, who have over thirty years of combined experience in financial management, government contract management, fiscal process development and fiscal agent administration.

BTQ Financial began as the financial management division of Burchman Terrio Urban Consultants, a distinguished New York City consulting firm that helped build and grow some of the country's most innovative not-for-profit organizations. Among BTQ Financial's earliest clients were some of the most progressive AIDS services and Homeless Housing organizations operating in the country. In response to the pressing need for intensive, hands-on fiscal management of many of the firm's original clients, BTQ Financial was developed as a stand-alone fiscal-management and financial-consulting practice focused on serving not-for-profit organizations and small businesses in New York City.

BTQ offers your organization a team of highly skilled professionals who are as committed to helping our clients achieve their goals.

We provide each client with one point of contact – a Client Manager who is thoroughly familiar with you and your company. Working with you, the Client Manager serves both as a strategic advisor and a financial manager for your organization. Supporting the Client Manger, a Comptroller, a team of Junior and Senior Accountants, Accounts Payable Specialists and Contract Managers work together behind the scene to assure operations are steady and reliable.
